The Role
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of data center infrastructure across multiple projects. This is a senior individual contributor role with a high degree of ownership and autonomy. There is no people-management responsibility; instead, you will lead programs by bringing together the teams and partners responsible for delivering new data center capacity.
You will own projects from early planning and design coordination through construction, white-space fit-out, network deployment, commissioning, and handover to operations. You will work across Design, Construction, Network, Engineering, and Operations, as well as with colocation providers, contractors, and other external partners.
You won’t be expected to design or install the infrastructure yourself. You will, however, need a strong understanding of data center construction, white-space fit-out, and network infrastructure so that you can understand what is happening on site, identify risks, challenge vendors, and drive projects forward.
You will typically be responsible for several projects at the same time, managing schedules, dependencies, budgets, and risks to make sure capacity is delivered when required and to the expected quality.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple data center infrastructure projects.
- Manage projects from planning and design through construction, fit-out, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and delivery plans.
- Work with Design and Construction teams to ensure requirements are coordinated before and during construction.
- Coordinate white-space and tenant fit-out activities with the wider data center construction program.
- Coordinate network infrastructure, low-voltage activities, and connectivity requirements as part of the overall delivery plan.
- Work closely with colocation providers, contractors, suppliers, and other delivery partners, holding them accountable for agreed milestones and quality.
- Identify schedule, technical, and delivery risks early and drive mitigation or recovery plans where needed.
- Resolve blockers and manage dependencies between internal teams and external partners.
- Provide clear project updates and escalate issues when required.
- Ensure projects are ready for handover to Operations, including the required documentation and internal tracking.
- Visit data center and construction sites to review progress, quality, coordination, and schedule.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

- Strong project and program management skills, including scheduling, budget management, risk management, and dependency tracking.

Working Model and Travel
The team is primarily home-based when not travelling to project sites. You will have access to Oracle offices in London and Reading and may use them when working with colleagues or other teams.
Approximately 25% travel is expected, primarily to data center and project locations across the UK and Europe. Travel requirements will vary depending on the projects you are supporting.
Please note that we are unable to provide relocation assistance or work permit/visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates should already have the right to work in the UK.
Why Join OCI?
This role gives you the opportunity to own complex infrastructure projects that directly support the growth of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Rather than being responsible for one individual part of a build, you will work across the full delivery lifecycle and bring together construction, fit-out, networking, commissioning, and operations. You will have significant autonomy and direct responsibility for making sure new data center capacity is delivered successfully.
For someone who enjoys being close to delivery, solving problems, and working across both technical and construction teams, this is a role with substantial scope and ownership.
Interview Process
Our interview process consists of three stages:
- Talent Advisor pre-screen – an initial conversation about your experience, motivation, the role, and practical details.
- Technical interview – a deeper discussion about your data center delivery experience, technical understanding, and approach to managing complex projects.
- Final interview loop – conversations with key stakeholders focused on your experience, problem-solving, program leadership, and ability to operate effectively across different teams and partners.
