Principal Technology Consultant / Technical Advisor

Hybrid WFH to £130k

Opportunity to progress your career at a growing UK based software and technology consultancy.

As a Principal Technology Consultant you'll own the senior technical relationship across a portfolio of strategic accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs and IT leaders. Bridging commercial account management and technical strategy, you'll shape technology roadmaps, align solutions to business outcomes and provide technical leadership across pre-sales, delivery and managed services.

This is a client facing leadership role rather than a hands-on engineering position. You'll set technical direction and work closely with architects, delivery leads and engineering teams to execute.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior technology stakeholders, translating business objectives into strategies spanning cloud, data, AI and applications.
  • Work with sales and account leadership, identifying growth opportunities, providing technical input into bids and proposals, and supporting renewals and expansions.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for technical risk, reviewing architecture and solution design to ensure alignment with client strategy and technical standards.
  • Lead technology roadmap and innovation discussions, advise clients on emerging Microsoft, Google Cloud and AI capabilities and represent their technical interests internally.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
