Principal to Associate – Strategic Land Town Planner (Reading, Bristol & Birmingham)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic Land Town Planner to join a highly regarded and growing planning consultancy.

Working at Principal to Associate level, you’ll take a leading role on a portfolio of strategic land projects, advising landowners, developers and promoters on unlocking development opportunities through the planning system.

The Role

  • Leading the promotion of strategic sites through Local Plans and site allocation processes.
  • Preparing representations, call for sites submissions and planning strategies.
  • Undertaking site appraisals and identifying new development opportunities.
  • Managing strategic residential, mixed-use and employment projects.
  • Advising landowners and developers on land promotion strategies.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Managing key client relationships and supporting business development.
  • Mentoring junior planners and contributing to team growth.

About You

  • You’ll be MRTPI qualified with strong experience in strategic land, planning or development.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of Local Plans, site promotion and development strategy, alongside the confidence to manage projects and clients independently.
