PRINCIPAL TOWN PLANNER - INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Due to continued growth, a respected planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Planner to their London based team. The practice advises on a wide range of planning matters across the public and private sectors and is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially aware planning advice on complex infrastructure projects.

THE PRINCIPAL PLANNER ROLE:

You’ll play a key role in delivering and managing infrastructure planning projects, supporting clients through the planning and consents process from early advice to determination. The position involves managing applications and appeals, advising clients on planning strategy, supporting junior staff, and contributing to business development.

PRINCIPAL PLANNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience in infrastructure planning within a consultancy or similar environment
  • Strong track record of managing planning applications through the DCO process
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide clear, practical advice
  • Experience with or exposure to complex infrastructure projects would be beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
