We have an exciting role on offer within our Growth service as a Principal Valuer.
If you are a RICS-qualified professional, with the ability to broker novel funding and investment initiatives on a large scale, then this role is for you.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Valuer to join our dynamic Economic Development team – with a special focus on the corporate and commercial estate.

Middlesbrough Council has a portfolio of strategic assets, contributing significantly to the Council’s ambitions for economic development. In this role, through the development of a range of new leisure, commercial and retail experiences, you will be supporting the local economy and helping to create high-quality jobs.
The role will primarily concentrate on the Asset Management and Facilities Management functions for the following sites:
- Captain Cook Square
- The Cleveland Centre
- Centre Square Estate
- Boho Buildings Estate
The combined total net internal area equates to 790,000 square foot of prime retail, leisure and office accommodation.
The post will assist in the effective direction, management and delivery of all services in the Strategic Asset portfolio to ensure that the services contribute to the delivery of all associated Corporate Outcomes and the Mayor’s Vision for Middlesbrough.
