Working within one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary water consultancies, you'll collaborate with recognised technical specialists, contribute to cutting-edge digital solutions and play a key role in developing resilient infrastructure that benefits communities for generations to come.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading the delivery of complex water network modelling projects across major UK water frameworks.
- Developing and reviewing hydraulic models using industry-standard software including InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent.

- Providing technical guidance and mentoring engineers and modellers across the team.
- Supporting project planning, technical governance and the continuous development of digital modelling approaches.
- Contributing to business development activities and strengthening client relationships across the Water business.

Through innovative modelling techniques and digital solutions, you'll help deliver sustainable outcomes that address the challenges of population growth, climate change and ageing infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
