We’re working with a growing transport consultancy in Yate that is looking to bring an experienced Principal or Associate-level Transport Planner into the team.
This is a really great opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing a workload of projects. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, lead projects, develop junior staff, build client relationships and play a genuine part in the continued growth of the business that is doing fantastically well with ongoing and future projects and no signs of slowing down.

The Role:
You’ll be working across a range of development-led transport planning projects, with a strong focus on the commercial sector and opportunities across residential development too.

You’ll be involved in:
- Leading Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and feasibility studies
- Managing projects from a technical, commercial and client perspective
- Acting as a technical lead and mentoring junior members of the team
- Building strong relationships with clients, developers, local authorities and stakeholders
- Supporting business development, fee proposals, bids and tenders
- Representing the business at client meetings, public consultations and negotiations
- Providing strategic transport advice throughout the planning process
What they’re looking for:
Commercial sector experience is essential, ideally alongside experience within residential/development planning. You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership of projects and clients, while also having the confidence to lead, mentor and help develop a wider team. Just as importantly, they’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, personable and hungry to build relationships and contribute to the growth of the business.
