Principal Civil Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take the lead on complex, high-profile projects across the industrial, technology and defence sectors?
A leading global engineering and consultancy organisation is looking to appoint a Principal Civil Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major UK and international developments, leading multidisciplinary design teams while shaping sustainable solutions for some of the world's most challenging infrastructure and construction projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the civil engineering design and delivery of large-scale building and urban development projects.
- Providing technical expertise across drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and site development.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
- Managing project programmes, resources and technical outputs.
- Reviewing designs, reports, specifications and BIM deliverables.
- Acting as a mentor and technical leader for engineers, technicians and graduates.
- Engaging directly with clients and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Driving best practice in health & safety, sustainability and engineering excellence.

What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards professional accreditation.
- Strong experience delivering civil engineering designs for building or urban development projects.
- Expertise in drainage, highways and utility infrastructure design.
- Experience using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM workflows.
- Good understanding of SuDS, Building Regulations, Section Agreements and relevant UK design standards.
- Ability to lead teams, manage project delivery and build strong client relationships.
