What you’ll be doing

As a Principal Enterprise Architect, you’ll lead our architecture function - setting strategic direction, guiding decision-making, and ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology solutions.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and the wider business to define enterprise architecture strategy, influence investment decisions, and ensure delivery aligns with long-term goals.

You’ll act as both a strategic leader and hands-on influencer, enabling teams to design and deliver solutions that are scalable, resilient, and fit for the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead and develop a team of architects, building capability, consistency, and impact across domains
  • Establish and govern architecture standards, policies, and best practices
  • Design and oversee enterprise-wide architecture frameworks and roadmaps
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape investment decisions and technology direction
  • Ensure consistency and quality across solution design and architectural outputs
  • Drive innovation through the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology leaders to influence strategic outcomes
  • Oversee architecture governance, risk management, and compliance
  • Champion modern design principles, cloud-first thinking, and scalable architecture patterns

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience operating as an Enterprise or Principal Architect within a complex organisation
  • Strong track record of defining and delivering enterprise architecture strategy
  • Experience leading and developing architecture teams
  • Deep understanding of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and modern architecture practices
  • Expertise across cloud platforms, integration patterns, and enterprise systems
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with practical delivery considerations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Experience shaping technology roadmaps and aligning them to business outcomes
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
