Principle HR Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Data professional to support the delivery of several critical strategic initiatives within the HR function. You will play a key role in establishing Databricks as our central HR data platform, supporting the migration of HR and payroll data from multiple legacy systems into a new HR and Payroll platform, developing custom reports and dashboards, and developing API integrations between HR systems and downstream business applications.

Working as part of a highly collaborative HR Systems and Data team, you will provide hands-on technical support and delivery across data integration, migration, reporting, and system configuration activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, implementation partners, IT teams, and business subject matter experts to ensure the successful delivery of key programme milestones.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. In addition to delivering key project outcomes, you will provide expertise, coaching, and knowledge transfer to internal team members, helping to build capability and ensure sustainable long-term success.

Main Responsibilities as Principle HR Data Analyst:

  • Support the design and implementation of Databricks as the central HR data repository and reporting source.
  • Assist with the ingestion, validation, transformation, and structuring of HR and payroll data from multiple source systems into Databricks.
  • Develop and document data models, business rules, and reporting requirements to support operational and strategic workforce reporting.
  • Support the migration of employee, payroll, and historical HR data into the new HR and Payroll system, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Work with technical teams and third-party suppliers to design, test, and implement APIs, data feeds, and system integrations between HR systems and downstream platforms.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity throughout migration and integration activities.
  • Produce reporting, dashboards, and visualizations that support business decision-making.
  • Create documentation, standards, and operating procedures relating to HR data, integrations, and reporting processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and practical support across wider HR initiatives as required.
  • Coach and mentor members of the HR Systems and Data team, sharing knowledge, best practice, and lessons learned to build internal capability.
  • Support other HR data optimization and change activities as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
