Salary: £30 per hr / £58,500 per annum +overtime

Services span assessment, engineering, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. Role Description: The Principle Process Automation Software Engineer is a full-time, role based in the City of Peterborough. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining process automation solutions, with a focus on PLC-based control systems and instrumentation integration. Day-to-day activities include developing control logic, configuring and testing automation software, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing process performance. The role collaborates closely with project engineers, design teams, and clients to define requirements, produce technical documentation, and ensure compliant, reliable, and safe operation of control systems. The engineer also provides technical leadership, mentors team members, and supports commissioning and post-installation services at customer sites.

Duties:

- Comply to all QHSE regulations, company policies, procedures, and standards
- Deliver project-specific design and engineering tasks timely and effectively
- Ensure designs comply to all regulations and customer specifications
- PLC and SCADA software application development
- Testing and commissioning of the project deliverables
- Support colleagues and the needs of the business
Qualifications:
- Electrical engineering-related degree or apprenticeship
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience:
- 10+ years Rockwell Allen Bradley ControlLogix experience
- 10+ years Rockwell Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View SE experience
- Experienced in working to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO27001, and ISO45001
