ROLE: Printing Supervisor

HOURS: 40 hours per week

LOCATION: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol

We're looking for a Printing Supervisor to oversee the successful provision and delivery of reprographic support services, ensuring high-quality print, scan and document production services are delivered to meet customer requirements at MOD Abbey Wood.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reprographic Services: Produce printed and electronic documents through digital printing, scanning and finishing processes in line with customer specifications.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain reprographic equipment, manage departmental stores, and ensure effective waste disposal.
  • Compliance Standards: Ensure all activities are completed in line with Health and Safety regulations, GDPR and Copyright Law.
  • Service Delivery: Act as the subject matter expert for reprographics services, promoting best practice and ensuring agreed service levels are met.
  • Team Supervision: Support the development and performance of the delivery team, taking timely action to reduce risk and prevent service failure.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • Supervisory Experience: Previous administration or supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with experience working to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Confident verbal and written communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • IT Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Personal Standards: Well-organised, professional and reliable, with strong judgement, integrity and attention to detail.

Additional Information

  • MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
  • Proof of right to work in UK is essential. The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0730 and 1700 Mon to Fri only. The current working hours allow for an early finish on a Friday.
  • Required To Wear Approved Company Work Wear.
