Recovery Worker
We are recruiting for a Recovery Worker to work within our integrated Substance Misuse Service in HMP Peterborough to deliver a comprehensive range of needs-based health care services to patients with substance misuse issues. The post holder will provide psychosocial intervention in individual or group-based settings to support prisoners with current and/or a history of substance misuse, using Trauma Informed principles to aide recovery of the patients.
Please note this post is subject to security vetting. To be considered for this post you will need to have continuously resided in the UK without any breaks for a minimum of 3 years prior to this application and be able to evidence your years of residency. Please note without sufficient evidence your application may not progress.
About the Role
The Substance Misuse Team is part of the integrated Healthcare provision at HMP Peterborough. The team consists of Integrated Substance Mis-use Nurse, HCA and Substance Misuse Workers (Recovery). The team works closely with the Secondary Mental Health team and Healthcare Services to provide a Trauma Informed Well Being Service for residents.
