Interim Data Privacy Lawyer | 6 Months | Fully Remote UK | Start ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer to join a leading global technology business focused on Search AI, cloud, security and observability, on an initial 6-month interim contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Data Privacy / Data Protection Lawyer to join a fast-moving, technology-led environment and advise on a broad range of privacy matters across a global organisation. The role sits within the Legal/Privacy function and will involve working closely with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and business stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with strong experience across UK GDPR / GDPR and wider international data protection matters, who is confident advising stakeholders and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on data privacy and data protection matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Draft, review and negotiate privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements, including DPAs, vendor contracts and customer-facing terms.
- Advise on GDPR and wider international data protection requirements.
- Support privacy risk assessments, data incidents, regulatory enquiries and data governance initiatives.
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and business stakeholders on privacy projects and strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with significant Data Privacy / Data Protection experience.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regulations.
- Experience drafting and negotiating privacy-related contractual provisions.
- Previous in-house experience preferred, ideally within a technology, SaaS or other data-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience across technology, cloud, AI, international data transfers and/or information security would be advantageous.
