Role Description

This full-time, on-site Private Chef role is based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with an immediate start available. The Private Chef will plan, prepare, and present high-quality meals in clients’ homes or private venues, with a strong focus on special diets such as plant-based, gluten-free, low-sugar, allergen-aware, and performance-focused nutrition.

The successful candidate will prepare three daily meal services (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for a household of three people, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Designing bespoke menus
  • Sourcing and purchasing fresh ingredients
  • Maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • Coordinating meal service with clients’ schedules and preferences
  • Managing kitchen inventory
  • Occasionally supporting private events and intimate gatherings

The Private Chef is expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while delivering an outstanding private dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, advanced cooking techniques, and fine dining presentation.
  • Experience with special diets and nutrition, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergen-aware, and health-focused meal planning.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen sanitation best practices.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to understand and adapt to individual preferences.
  • Ability to work independently in private residences, manage time efficiently, and deliver multiple meal services daily.
  • Previous experience as a private chef, restaurant chef, or in luxury catering is highly desirable.
  • Culinary school training or relevant professional certifications are preferred but equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required, with a strong commitment to reliability, discretion, and confidentiality.
