HNW Account Handler

Location: Bristol / Hybrid
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Flex potentially available for the right candidate) + Company Bonus and benefits

The Opportunity

A growing and well-established insurance brokerage is looking to appoint a HNW Account Handler to join its Private Client team in Bristol.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive, close-knit team within a business that is on a strong growth trajectory. The role would suit an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, working closely with insurers and identifying opportunities to improve and develop client accounts.

Private Client experience would be advantageous, although candidates from personal lines or commercial insurance backgrounds will also be considered where they have a genuine interest in moving into the Private Client market.

The Role

Working as part of a Private Client team, you will be responsible for supporting and servicing a portfolio of clients, working closely with Account Executives and insurers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day client enquiries and providing a high standard of service.
  • Attending networking events which are not mandatory but encouraged along with attending client visits with account executive staff, particularly if career advancement into an account executive role appeals.
  • Communicating with clients and insurers by telephone and email.
  • Managing renewals in line with agreed service standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting Account Executives with existing clients and new business activity.
  • Identifying opportunities for additional cover, cross-selling and addressing potential gaps in client protection.
  • Processing and recording client instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with clients, colleagues, insurers and other suppliers.
  • Supporting broking, administration and reporting activity where required.
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant regulatory, technical, legal and market developments.
  • Supporting client visits and events where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Candidates who already hold the Cert CII will be particularly attractive. Those without the qualification will be expected to work towards it, with the business providing funding and support.
