Private Client Associate | 2+ Years PQE | Top 100 Firm | Bristol
A strong opportunity for a Private Client Associate to join a highly regarded team within a leading Top 100 firm that continues to invest heavily in its services to individuals, at a time when some Bristol firms are shifting emphasis towards corporate and commercial work.
The Firm
This Top 100 firm has built its reputation on an industry led approach to legal services, with lawyers who develop a deep understanding of the sectors their clients operate in, improving outcomes in a real and tangible way. Private Client remains a core part of its long term strategy, giving the team genuine momentum rather than a position it is simply holding.
Culture is where the firm is most consistently praised. The flexibility on offer is substantial and taken seriously rather than advertised, and people are trusted to find a balance that works for them. There is continual dialogue in both directions through staff surveys, training programmes and an active social scene, and processes change in response to what people say.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
