Private Client Associate Solicitor (2–4 PQE) | Top 100 Law Firm | South-West London
We’re working with a leading Top 100 UK law firm looking for an ambitious Private Client Associate Solicitor to join its highly regarded team in South-West London.
This is an opportunity to handle varied, high-quality work for UK-based, international and high-net-worth clients while benefiting from structured career development, close partner support and genuine opportunities to progress.
The Opportunity
You’ll manage your own non-contentious private client caseload under the supervision of a partner, advising clients across wills, trusts, taxation, estate administration and succession planning.
The team has an established reputation across the private client sector and offers a friendly, supportive and client-focused working environment. The firm also operates an agile-working policy, allowing employees to work from home for up to 40% of their working time each month.
The Work
Your caseload will include:
- Advising on and drafting wills.
- Estate and inheritance tax planning.
- Administering estates of varying complexity.
- Creating, administering and advising on the taxation of trusts.
- Providing cross-border private client advice.
- Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax relating to trusts and estates.
- Advising on mental capacity matters and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Supporting high-net-worth, international and UK-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload under the supervision of a partner.
- Providing clear, commercially focused and practical advice to clients.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and other professional advisers.
- Responding to enquiries from existing and prospective clients.
- Maintaining accurate time recording, billing and financial management.
- Working towards agreed annual billing targets.
- Supporting the firm’s file-management, compliance and financial procedures.
- Participating in internal training, professional-development programmes and firm-wide events.
- Contributing to business-development activities, including networking and article writing.
- Developing relationships with accountants, wealth managers, trust companies and other professional referrers.
- Building strong relationships across the firm’s different practice areas.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Approximately 2–4 years’ PQE in non-contentious private client law.
- Experience managing a broad private client caseload.
- Knowledge of wills, estate administration, trusts, tax planning and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- An interest in complex, high-net-worth and cross-border private client matters.
- Strong client-care and relationship-management skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and self-motivated approach.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and financial-management skills.
- Strong numerical and IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- A degree at 2:1 level and, ideally, a commendation at LPC level.
- A commitment to continued professional development through an organisation such as STEP.

- Hours: 9.30am–5.30pm
- Hybrid working: Up to 40% of working time from home each month
