Private Client Associate - International
Location: Central London - hybrid
Experience: 4PQE+
OVERVIEW
Join a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm with one of the UK's leading Private Client teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to work on high-quality, complex international tax, trusts and succession planning matters.
The team advises an exceptional client base of HNW and UHNW individuals, international families, business owners, family offices, landed estates, private banks, wealth managers and trust companies.
You will work alongside recognised leaders in the Private Wealth market, gaining exposure to complex cross-border matters and international structures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and their related structures on complex tax and succession planning matters.
- Working on international and cross-border Private Client matters involving multi-jurisdictional assets and family structures.
- Advising on UK tax residence and domicile matters, including the statutory residence test and relevant international tax regimes.
- Advising on the creation, restructuring and ongoing taxation of trusts and other wealth-holding structures.
- Advising on family investment companies and other sophisticated estate and succession planning structures.
- Handling cross-border estates, including international Wills and succession planning.
- Advising business owners, landed estates and families on long-term wealth preservation and family governance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, professional advisers and intermediaries.
- Managing a complex and varied workload effectively while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team where appropriate.

ABOUT YOU
- Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with 4PQE+ in Private Client, Tax or Trusts.
- Strong experience in international tax and succession planning for HNW and UHNW clients.
- Exposure to complex trusts, estate planning and wealth structuring.
- Experience working with clients who have international or multi-jurisdictional affairs would be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical ability and a genuine interest in complex Private Wealth work.
- Self-motivated, ambitious and keen to continue developing technically.
- Experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous.
- STEP qualification is desirable but not essential.
