Senior Private Client Solicitor

Location: Leicester
Firm: Top-Tier Legal 500 & Chambers-Ranked Law Firm

The Opportunity

A leading and highly respected Leicester law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, and vulnerable clients, while taking a leading role in the growth and development of the department.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

  • Drafting wills and powers of attorney
  • Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
  • Administering estates and trusts
  • Handling Court of Protection applications
  • Supporting high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and discretion

In addition, you will:

  • Advise clients on complex trust and succession planning matters
  • Manage high-value estate administration cases
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members
  • Play an active role in business development and networking initiatives
  • Contribute strategically to the continued success and growth of the Private Client department

About You

  • Ideally 5+ years' PQE within private client law
  • Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration
  • Experience advising high-net-worth clients
  • STEP qualification or a desire to work towards it
  • Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
  • A compassionate and professional approach, particularly when assisting vulnerable clients
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
