Job Description
We are recruiting a full-time, on-site Private Client Lawyer role based in Faversham. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including Probate applications, estate administration, wills, estate planning, and powers of attorney.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Meeting clients
- Taking detailed instructions
- Providing tailored legal advice
- Drafting and reviewing documents
- Progressing files efficiently from initial consultation to conclusion
The role also involves:
- Liaising with colleagues and external professionals
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm standards
- Delivering a consistently high level of client care

Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor, legal executive, CILEX lawyer, or equivalent with demonstrable experience in private client work (wills, probate, estate planning, powers of attorney) with a minimum of two years' experience.
- Strong client service skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly, build trust, and support clients sensitively, especially in emotionally challenging situations.
- Sound technical knowledge with meticulous attention to detail and strong drafting and document review skills.
- Effective file management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage a busy caseload, meet deadlines, and use case management systems and standard IT tools confidently.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to work independently, contribute to team goals, and engage in local networking and business development where required.
- Experience within private client is essential.
