- Have experience in a Private Client Department or relevant legal qualifications
- Secretarial experience in a Law Firm
- Strong communication skills
- Fast and accurate typing, and the ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure
Private Client Legal Assistant - What will be expected of you - a brief overview
- Follow the Team Leader’s guidance to take client instructions and progress matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate and Trust administration.
- Ensure all work is prepared accurately and in line with firm standards and TL instructions.
- Manage an assigned caseload, including file management, time recording, accounting and billing.
- Maintain appropriate work-in-progress, manage disbursements, and ensure client money is accurately accounted for and transferred when required.
- Open and close client files, including completing online AML checks.
- Manage Lawyers’ diaries and arrange appointments.
- Provide typing and administrative support to fee earners.
