Role Overview
The Private Client Manager supports the day-to-day delivery of Métier’s Private Client service, helping to build long-term relationships with our clients and ensuring they receive a highly personalised, discreet and exceptional level of service.
The primary focus of the role is client service and relationship support, alongside sales support, CRM administration, appointments, gifting and Private Client activities. The role supports the client journey from initial enquiry and appointment through to purchase, delivery and ongoing follow-up, ensuring every interaction reflects the Métier standard.
Duties & Responsibilities
Private Client Service & Relationships
- Support the day-to-day management of Private Client relationships.
- Act as a point of contact for clients as directed by the Sales Director.
- Build an understanding of each client’s preferences, purchasing history, lifestyle and individual requirements.
- Respond to client enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate client requests and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
- Maintain regular and thoughtful follow-up with clients.
- Liaise with Retail, E-commerce, Customer Care, Logistics and other internal teams to coordinate client requirements.
- Ensure every interaction provides a consistent and highly personalised Métier experience.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
Sales Support & Client Development
- Support Private Client sales enquiries and opportunities.
- Understand client requirements and assist with appropriate product recommendations.
- Prepare personalised product selections for clients.
- Check product availability and coordinate reservations, orders and deliveries.
- Follow up after appointments, enquiries and product introductions.
- Support the re-engagement of existing clients under the direction of the Sales Director.
- Support repeat purchases, referrals and introductions.
- Maintain an accurate record of Private Client enquiries, appointments, opportunities and sales.
- Develop strong knowledge of Métier collections, craftsmanship, materials and product stories.

CRM & Client Information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Private Client records within the CRM.
- Record purchases, enquiries, appointments, communications and relevant interactions.
- Maintain appropriate client information including product preferences, birthdays, anniversaries, travel, interests and other relevant milestones.
- Ensure client notes and follow-up actions are consistently recorded.
- Support the maintenance of client segmentation and tiering information using criteria established by management.
- Assist with preparing client lists for launches, trunk shows, gifting, events and other Private Client activities.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, confidentiality and data protection.
Appointments & Gifting
- Coordinate and prepare Private Client appointments.
- Ensure appropriate products and client information are prepared in advance.
- Support a welcoming and highly personalised experience during client visits.
- Coordinate post-appointment actions, including orders, deliveries and follow-ups.
- Maintain records of important client milestones and occasions.
- Coordinate approved Private Client gifting and ensure it is appropriately recorded and delivered on time.
- Support personalised communications relating to birthdays, anniversaries and other agreed client occasions.
Reporting, Events & General Support
- Maintain trackers for Private Client enquiries, appointments, sales opportunities, gifting and outstanding actions.
- Provide concise weekly updates on Private Client activity and sales pipeline.
- Ensure outstanding client actions are completed or escalated where necessary.
- Support Private Client events, trunk shows, product launches and other client experiences.
- Assist with guest lists, invitations, RSVPs and post-event follow-up.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for approved partnerships and collaborations as required.
- Capture relevant client feedback and communicate it to the appropriate internal team.
- Provide general support to the Sales Director and Private Client function as required.

Skills & Experience
- 5 years+ experience in luxury retail, Private Client services, fashion, hospitality or another premium client-facing environment.
- Excellent client service and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting sales growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Professional, discreet and confident when dealing with high-value clients.
- Strong interest in luxury, craftsmanship and delivering personalised client experiences.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Excel and other business applications.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and follow actions through to completion.
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working within a growing business.
- Able to work collaboratively across different departments.
What Success Looks Like
Private Clients receive a personal, thoughtful and seamless experience with Métier. Client information is accurate and up to date, enquiries and sales opportunities are followed up promptly, appointments are well prepared, and client requests are coordinated effectively. The role contributes to strong client relationships, repeat purchases, referrals and deeper engagement with Métier, while providing the Sales Director and wider business with accurate and useful client information.
