Job Introduction

What is the role?

As a Private Client Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with Selfridges’ most valuable clients, including our elite VVSP+ and VVSP++ tiers, as well as newly introduced high-net-worth guests invited to experience our exclusive private shopping environments. You will possess exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, enabling you to expand your client base through both existing relationships and the strategic acquisition of new clients. A role model within the Personal Shopping team, you will uphold the highest standards of service, professionalism, and discretion, consistently delivering bespoke styling and elevated lifestyle experiences. With expert knowledge across all categories within Selfridges, you will lead in cross-category and own bought sales, setting the benchmark for excellence in luxury personal shopping.

As a Private Client Manager, You Will

  • Nurture and develop relationships to generate new business with a focus on international, high potential and high net worth clients.
  • Recognise potential events either in store or offsite to further our client base and pro-actively approaching individuals and corporations.
  • Generate ideas and implement plans to develop business opportunities and drive productivity, sales and profit across own bought and concession businesses.
  • Demonstrate a commercial mindset and outlook to stay responsive to customer needs, sharing inspiration in immediate & wider team.
  • Monitor customer service satisfaction and spend, suggesting improvements where necessary and keeping us ahead of our competitors.
  • Partner with key stakeholders at store events and through other commercial opportunities (CNY, Eid, Christmas, Football pop-ups).
  • Act as an ambassador for Selfridges Personal Shopping both internally and externally by representing our brand in public/store events to promote our products and services.
  • Work confidently and collaboratively with various departments, from the wider personal shopping team, various departments and divisions, to Fashion Workroom, you strive to deliver exceptional service and standards.
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends by taking every opportunity to expand your product knowledge, and being aware of competitor activity.
