Overview
The Opportunity:
The Private Client Onboarding Associate (PCO Associate) supports a variety of internal departments, such as a team of Private Client Directors/Executives (PCD/Es) and Private Client Advice Analysts (PCA Analysts), in onboarding and providing regulated, suitable advice to prospective clients. The purpose of this advice is to help clients meet their long-term goals. In order to achieve this, a PCO Associate will be primarily responsible for following up with third-party providers, entering pension and investment bond data into proprietary software, conducting analysis of prospective clients' existing holdings, processing KYC and AML data, initiating risk assessments and formatting and producing recommendation materials. In addition to this, each PCO Associate will grow their analytical ability and acquire a broad understanding of financial planning tools through training and interaction with senior members of the group.
The Day-to-Day:
- Act as a point of contact for the Private Client Directors/ Executives (PCD/Es)
- Prepare written proposals by collecting and compiling client information and information from third-party providers.
- Follow-up with pension and investment bond providers to ensure we have all information necessary to complete a recommendation.
- Conduct Morningstar analysis on prospective or existing clients' assets.
- Run various cash flow and portfolio simulations for inclusion in the proposals.
- Work on ad hoc group projects to help increase efficiency.
- Use MS Office and Adobe to customise proposals and produce detailed reports.
- Request and complete external pension and investment bond transfer/surrender paperwork.
- Collaborate with other internal groups to ensure smooth and efficient transition of cases.
- Ensure that all new accounts are compliant with FCA and Company guidelines.

Your Qualifications:
- A University degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience with financial planning and investment principles or industry exams preferable.
- Outstanding work ethic and integrity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Highly reliable and eager to work in a collaborative environment to support high-volume output with accuracy.
