Private Client Paralegal

📍 Northampton

💼 Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (5 days per week)

💰 £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

We're working with a long-established and highly respected law firm with a strong reputation for delivering expert legal advice alongside exceptional client care.

Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Paralegal to join its busy Northampton office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months' experience in Private Client law to work alongside experienced solicitors, gain exposure to a varied caseload, and continue developing their career within a supportive and collaborative team.

The Role

We are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to support the firm's busy Private Client department, assisting fee earners across a broad range of matters while building strong relationships with clients and delivering an exceptional standard of service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking instructions from clients on a range of Private Client matters
  • Drafting Wills and assisting with estate planning matters
  • Meeting with clients both in person and over the telephone
  • Assisting with estate administration and probate matters
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing client files and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties throughout matters
  • Providing administrative and legal support to the wider Private Client team
  • Delivering an excellent standard of client care at every stage

About You

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience within a Private Client department
  • Experience taking client instructions and drafting Wills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
  • A proactive, professional and client-focused approach
  • A genuine desire to build a long-term career in Private Client law
