Role: Private Client Paralegal

Location: Hampshire

Salary: £28k - £30k

The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Paralegal to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working alongside experienced solicitors on a varied caseload of Private Client matters.

The firm has a strong reputation for providing high-quality, personalised legal advice to individuals, families and businesses, with an established Private Client practice covering a broad range of matters.

The Role

As a Private Client Paralegal, you will provide support across a varied caseload, with responsibilities including:

  • Assisting with the administration of estates from initial instruction through to completion.
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents and relevant forms.
  • Assisting with probate applications and obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
  • Supporting solicitors with Will and Lasting Power of Attorney matters.
  • Assisting with trust administration and related documentation.
  • Conducting legal and property searches and obtaining information from third parties.
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and other professional organisations.
  • Assisting with the collection and distribution of estate assets.
  • Preparing and maintaining estate accounts.
  • Undertaking legal and factual research.
  • Providing general administrative and legal support to fee earners.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records.
  • Ensuring matters progress efficiently and within relevant deadlines.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a Private Client, Wills & Probate or Estate Administration team.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Private Client Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • Good knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and competing deadlines.
  • A professional and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
