We are looking for a talented and experienced Private Client Paralegal to join our team of highly experienced Lawyers based in our Manchester Office. The successful candidate will offer assistance to the Deputy and Head of the Court of Protection / Private Client team with their high valued cases, whilst being able to gain some valuable experience in a well-established, long-standing firm.
Duties
- Managing new enquiries
- Drafting and dealing with routine correspondence
- Drafting Simple Wills
- Assisting with Trust registration
- Assisting with Probate and estate administration
- Dealing with clients who have lost loved ones in tragic accidents
- Drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Working to court and procedural deadlines
- Assisting with file organisation
- Providing clear and empathetic advice to clients during sensitive times
- Diary Management
- Use of in-house case management system
- Research using internal resources
- Keeping clients updated in a clear and empathetic manner
- Maintaining awareness of all current legislation

Skills
- Previous experience of working in a Private Client department
- Experience within an office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent people skills and able to build a good rapport with vulnerable clients and third parties
- Proven ability to work to deadlines
- IT Skills such as Word/ Outlook/ Excel
Desirable Skills
- Experience in contentious Probate matters
