Private Client Partner | Redhill, Surrey | Legal 500 Firm
This is a genuine Partnership opportunity for an experienced Private Client lawyer who wants to build, lead and grow a practice.
A well-established Legal 500 regional firm is looking for an experienced Private Client Partner to join its Redhill office and play a key role in the continued development of the practice.
This isn't a Partnership title without the substance behind it. You'll have the autonomy to develop your own client base, lead high-quality private client work, mentor lawyers around you and have a genuine influence on the direction and growth of the team.
If you've built a strong reputation in Private Client, have established client relationships and are commercially minded, this is an opportunity to join a firm that will give you the platform and support to build something of your own.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Partner role with genuine scope to shape the practice:
- Develop your own client base and build on your existing relationships and network
- Lead on complex Private Client matters including wills, probate, estate administration and trusts for HNW individuals and families
- Grow the team by mentoring and developing junior lawyers
- Drive business development and raise the profile of the Private Client practice across the Surrey market
- Influence strategy and contribute to the wider direction of the Redhill office
- Work collaboratively with other Partners across the firm to identify opportunities and develop clients
- Build a long-term practice with the backing, infrastructure and resources of an established regional firm

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Opportunity?
The attraction here is the combination of Partnership, autonomy and platform.
You won't be stepping into a role where you're simply expected to inherit a caseload and maintain the status quo. The firm wants a Partner who can bring ideas, relationships and ambition, while providing the infrastructure and support to turn those into a growing practice.
For an established Private Client lawyer who wants genuine influence, commercial opportunity and the ability to build something long term, this could be a particularly interesting move.
