Private Client Solicitor (1-5 PQE)
Location: Peak District
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Benefits
CRA Consulting are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded and long-established regional law firm in the recruitment of a Private Client Solicitor (1-5 PQE) to join its successful Wills & Probate team based in the firm's Peak District office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Private Client Solicitor to join a firm renowned for delivering exceptional client care and building long-standing relationships with individuals, families, and business owners across Derbyshire and the surrounding regions. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and collaborative team, handling high-quality private client work while benefiting from genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload of private client matters, providing practical and sensitive advice to clients on a broad range of issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning matters
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Administering estates and obtaining Grants of Probate
- Advising on inheritance tax and succession planning
- Managing trust-related matters where appropriate
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Delivering exceptional levels of client care throughout each matter
- Supporting the continued development and growth of the department

About You
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with between 1 and 5 years' PQE gained within a Private Client department. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience handling a broad range of wills, probate, and estate administration matters
- Strong technical knowledge of private client law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- The ability to manage a caseload independently
- A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within private client practice
STEP qualification or a desire to work towards STEP accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.
