About The Role
A regional law firm in Birmingham seeks an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding team on a full-time basis, with a salary of £60,000 to £75,000 per annum. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload covering wills and estate planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate and estate administration, and trusts. Building lasting relationships with clients and contributing to the team's continued growth form key parts of the position. Applicants should demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to this area of law, alongside the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive setting.

The Role
You will advise a broad range of private clients on a variety of matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration
- Trusts and trust administration
- Inheritance Tax and succession planning
- Estate planning for high-net-worth individuals
- Court of Protection matters where appropriate
You will have significant client contact and will be expected to provide clear, practical and personable advice, developing trusted relationships with clients and their families.
The team works closely with other departments across the firm, providing opportunities to develop a strong network of internal relationships and offer a genuinely joined-up service to clients.
The Candidate
The firm is looking for a Private Client Solicitor who has solid experience across a broad range of private client work.
You Will Ideally Have
- Experience advising on Wills, Probate and estate administration
- A good understanding of trusts and estate planning
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- A commercially aware and pragmatic approach
- The ability to manage your own caseload
- The confidence to develop and maintain long-standing client relationships
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider team
