An established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing team in Devon. The firm has a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality legal services, building trusted client relationships, and delivering a personal, client-focused approach across the local community and surrounding areas.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3-5 years PQE to join a busy Private Client team. You will manage your own caseload while contributing to the continued success and growth of the department. This is a full-time, office-based position in Devon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service and practical legal advice.
  • Draft Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Manage Estate and Trust Administration matters.
  • Advise clients on Inheritance Tax Planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
  • Independently manage a varied private client caseload.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records using the firm's case management systems.
  • Manage billing and financial aspects of client matters.
  • Support business development initiatives and departmental growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.
  • Continue developing legal expertise and professional skills.
  • Contribute positively to a supportive and client-focused culture.

Requirements

Essential

  • 3-5 years PQE in Private Client law.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent client care and relationship management abilities.
  • Good IT and technical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • STEP qualification.
  • SFE accreditation.
  • Experience using case management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
