The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to become part of a specialist Tax & Trust team, where they will advise high net worth individuals on a broad range of complex trust & tax matters. As a part of this team your key responsibilities will be:
- Managing a diverse caseload of trust administration and advisory matters.
- Advising on the creation, structuring, and ongoing administration of UK trusts.
- Drafting trust deeds, letters of wishes, and associated legal documentation.
- Providing advice on trust taxation, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax.
- Preparing and overseeing annual trust accounts and tax returns.
- Working closely with tax advisers, accountants, and other specialists to provide holistic advice.
- Supporting wider private client and lifetime planning matters.
- Advising trustees and beneficiaries on complex trust-related issues.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Experience as a Solicitor, Legal Executive, Trust Advisor, or equivalent professional.
- Ideally 2-4 years' PQE, although applications from more experienced candidates and those qualified by experience are welcomed.
- Strong trust administration and trust taxation experience.
- A background in private client work involving trusts and wealth planning.
- The ability to manage your own caseload effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong client care skills with experience working with high-net-worth individuals.
