What We Are Looking For
We have a full-time permanent position for a highly motivated private client solicitor with at least 3+ PQE to join our well-established and highly reputable London-based firm.
This is a fee-earning role reporting to the Head of Department and Senior Solicitors in the team.
The job holder will have previous experience, knowledge, and understanding of Private Client law in the UK. They will be expected to manage their own caseload encompassing source of funds work and AML procedures, handle Executories, Power of Attorney matters, and Wills with some supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
Day to Day – Case Work
- To efficiently manage your own varied fee-earning caseload and provide a profitable contribution to the department.
- To draft, negotiate, and vet legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
- Handling matters relating to Trusts and Wills, estate management, tax and succession planning, generational wealth planning.
- To assist your supervisor or other senior solicitors with case work.
- Cross-referring work and clients across different departments.
- Assisting in the supervision of trainee solicitors or paralegals.
- To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- Represent the Firm in a professional manner at all times, with integrity in all areas of work.
- To know and comply with the Office Manual and firm guidance.
- To ensure all confidential information stored electronically are securely stored and accessible only to those authorised to view such content.

Client Care
- Nurturing new client relationships applying empathy appropriate to any case in hand.
- To ensure that all client work is dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner by keeping clients up to date and informed as to progress and costs.
- Maintaining existing client relationships as you continue to build your following.
Marketing
- Actively participate in the positive promotion of the Company through marketing and networking events/activities (online and face to face).
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with external institutions and local organisations.
- To contribute wherever possible to the success and development of the firm.
- To supervise Trainees and other immediate support staff as allocated resources.
- To keep up to date with changes in the relevant law.
- To comply with relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with any in-house training as may be required.
- Any other duties required to be undertaken by the Finance Manager/Practice Manager and Equity Partners.

Person Specification: Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Previous Private Client experience at level (+ 3PQE) minimum.
- Law degree essential, STEPS desirable.
- Highly discreet, respectfully observing client confidentiality.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, show flexibility, prioritise workloads in a calm and consistent manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to build and maintain professional rapport with all stakeholders.
- IT literate especially Microsoft Office and other software – training provided.
- Able to work alone and also a strong team player.
- Must be able to work in an open plan, friendly but fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives to a high standard with attention to quality and detail of work output.
What We Offer
As well as a competitive salary, we offer a starting annual leave allowance of 25 days with long service awards, 10 days sick pay in a 12-month rolling period, and eligibility to discretionary benefits including a firmwide bonus scheme, EAP, social events throughout the year, and an additional partners' leave day at Christmas.
