Role Description

The Private Client Solicitor will work on-site in the Coventry office in a full-time capacity. This is a maternity cover role initially. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning matters
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Managing a varied caseload with appropriate supervision where required
  • Meeting clients in person, taking detailed instructions
  • Providing clear and accurate legal advice
  • Ensuring matters progress efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and firm standards
  • Liaising with colleagues and external professionals
  • Maintaining up-to-date file records
  • Contributing to business development activities, including maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the firm’s reputation in the local community

  • Strong grounding in Law with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles accurately in private client matters
  • Experience or familiarity with Wills and Probate and Conveyancing to support wider client needs where required
  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification) with relevant post-qualification experience in private client work, including wills and probate
  • Excellent client care skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to provide empathetic, practical guidance
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with proven experience in handling multiple matters and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory and professional standards
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and an interest in contributing to the growth of the firm’s private client offering
