Private Client Solicitor
Location: Leigh-on-Sea
Hours: Monday-Friday | 9:00am-5:30pm
Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for an opportunity to join a growing, family-run law firm with an outstanding reputation for client care? You'll work closely with both new and existing clients, delivering tailored legal advice across a varied range of private client matters while building trusted, long-term relationships.

The Role
As a Private Client Solicitor, you'll become a trusted adviser to clients seeking guidance on sensitive and often life-changing legal matters. You'll manage your own varied caseload while delivering practical, tailored advice with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
Working alongside an experienced Private Client team, you'll advise clients on a wide range of matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. Every client interaction should reflect the firm's commitment to outstanding service, ensuring clients feel informed, reassured and supported throughout their legal journey.
Key Responsibilities
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing your own Private Client caseload from instruction through to completion.
- Advising clients on Wills and estate planning.
- Handling Probate and Estate Administration matters.
- Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
- Managing Court of Protection cases.
- Meeting clients both in person and remotely.
- Providing clear, practical and sensitive legal advice tailored to individual circumstances.
- Building long-lasting client relationships based on trust, professionalism and empathy.
- Drafting legal documents accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining excellent file management and record keeping.
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulations and firm procedures.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental targets and KPIs.
- Supporting business development activities and helping grow the firm's reputation.
- Developing relationships with professional contacts and referral partners.
- Maintaining the highest standards of client confidentiality and professional ethics.

About You
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in Private Client law who understands the importance of combining excellent legal knowledge with outstanding client care.
You'll be someone who enjoys helping people through significant life events and can communicate complex legal matters in a calm, clear and reassuring way.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Solicitor
- At least two years' post-qualification experience in Private Client law.
- Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
- Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs and Court of Protection matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient and empathetic approach.
- Exceptional client care skills.
- Strong drafting abilities and excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
- High professional and ethical standards.
- A collaborative and supportive approach to teamwork.
