About The Role

This full time, permanent Private Client Solicitor position in Hampshire offers a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 dependent on experience, with hybrid working available. The successful candidate will join an established team advising on complex trust arrangements, their taxation and administration, alongside estate planning matters. Applicants should have at least two years' post-qualification experience and strong technical knowledge of trusts and estates. Day-to-day duties include managing a varied caseload, drafting relevant documentation, and liaising directly with clients. The firm provides a supportive setting where a solicitor can develop expertise and progress their career.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of private client matters, including:

  • Advising on the establishment, administration and termination of trusts.
  • Providing advice to trustees and beneficiaries.
  • Preparing wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Advising on estate planning and associated tax considerations.
  • Advising on lifetime gifts and trust arrangements.
  • Obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
  • Preparing deeds of variation, deeds of gift and other related documentation.
  • Working alongside colleagues on a varied private client caseload.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Private Client Solicitors with at least 2 years' experience. You should also possess:

  • Experience in trusts and estate planning, with the ability to manage your own caseload.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • STEP qualification or a willingness to work towards the qualification would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills.
  • A confident and approachable manner.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience developing strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.

The Firm

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established private client team within a well-regarded law firm. The team advises a diverse client base across a broad range of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, tax planning and succession planning.
