Private Client Solicitor (Partner) - Stamford, Lincolnshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a confident, proactive and well-organised individual to join our team at Partner level. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience across a broad range of private client matters, including the preparation of complex wills, succession and inheritance tax planning for individuals and agricultural and business clients, the administration of taxable and complex estates and creation of trusts.

The role will require a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.

In addition, we are seeking an experienced individual who is keen to play a key role in the growth and development of the Private Client practice. The successful candidate will be happy to help build and mentor a team, contribute to the strategic direction of the department, and take an active role in business development, including developing existing client relationships, networking, and generating new work. A following is welcome but not essential; a commercial mindset and genuine enthusiasm for growing the practice are more important.

Location: Based primarily at our Stamford office, with regular travel to our Bourne and Market Deeping offices, and occasional travel to other office locations as required.

Department: Document Production Team

Hours: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday

Salary: Depending on Experience

  • Perform fee-earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality, risk and compliance procedures, producing fee income in line with agreed targets and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with Partners and fee earners to develop new business, build client and referrer relationships, and support the firm’s business development activities.
  • Play an active role in the development and enhancement of the Private Client department, including contributing to strategy, service delivery and team growth.
  • Support the supervision, mentoring and development of junior team members, assisting with workflow management and maintaining high professional standards.
  • Maintain effective financial control, including billing, cash-flow management and the collection of monies on account.
  • Keep fully informed of changes in law and practice, maintaining and enhancing up-to-date legal and technical skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
