Private Client Solicitor / Private Client Lawyer / Legal Executive (CILEx)
Chippenham, Wiltshire | Hybrid Working Available | Excellent Salary & Benefits
This position has been created as part of the firm's ongoing growth and succession planning strategy, offering excellent long-term career prospects, exposure to high-quality private client work, and the opportunity to work closely with High Net Worth (HNW) individuals, business owners, farming families and landed estates.
Whether you are an experienced Wills and Probate Solicitor, Trusts and Estates Lawyer, or Private Client Legal Executive, this role offers the chance to develop your expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
The Opportunity
You will manage a diverse and rewarding private client caseload covering a broad range of matters, including estate planning, trusts, probate, inheritance tax planning and succession arrangements.
The successful candidate will advise a loyal client base across Wiltshire and the South West, including clients with complex UK and international asset structures.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising on Wills, estate planning and succession planning
- Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and wealth preservation strategies
- Drafting, establishing and administering trusts
- Probate matters and complex estate administration
- Advising High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs and farming clients
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Tax-efficient estate structuring (working closely with a tax expert)
- Providing tailored private client advice to individuals and families
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
- Minimum 4 years' PQE within Private Client law
- Strong technical knowledge of trusts, probate and inheritance tax planning
- Experience managing your own private client caseload
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment
