About the role...
What sets you apart from the rest? Outstanding communication? Acting with purpose? Thinking outside the box and taking the team and client on the journey with you?
About the team…
The London Private Client Team are looking for a Tax Manager to join them. You will have relevant, detailed and up to date UK tax knowledge, along with previous experience of international aspects of tax such as residency and arriving in/leaving the UK. This is essential as many of our clients have a global footprint and are internationally mobile.
You will work with a diverse range of clients, from iconic global sports stars to internationally recognised senior figures in the business world. You will be skilled at building trusted relationships with clients and with internal and external stakeholders and will thrive in a truly collaborative culture where the overarching goal is to deliver a seamless, holistic, end to end service.
You will take ownership of delivering high quality technical advice, managing projects from start to finish. You will support and coach junior members of the team, reviewing their work and helping them develop technically, so that projects are delivered accurately and on time. You will have a passion for spotting opportunities to help our clients further and deepen those relationships.
We have growth aspirations to significantly increase the size of the Private Client business and we want you to join us on that journey and be part of something special.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
