An established accountancy practice is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Consultant to join its specialist tax team. This is an opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of private clients, gaining exposure to HNW individuals, trusts, estates and owner-managed businesses, alongside a mixture of compliance and advisory work.
The Role
You'll work closely with senior members of the team and take responsibility for a range of private client tax matters, including:
- Managing and developing relationships with private clients
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Working with HNW individuals, business owners, trusts and estates
- Advising on areas including CGT, IHT, income tax and trusts
- Supporting tax planning and wider advisory projects
- Assisting with trust and estate work
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
- Researching technical tax matters and keeping up to date with legislation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider tax team
- Supporting junior members of the team where required

What We're Looking For
- CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, or working towards a relevant qualification
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy or tax practice
- Strong personal tax experience
- Experience managing or working with a private client portfolio
- Good technical knowledge of UK personal tax
- Exposure to trusts, estates, CGT and/or IHT
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop your advisory experience
