Duties and Requirements
This is a Director opportunity with partner potential to lead the reporting and advisory services for our Private Client portfolio, run out of the Bury St Edmunds office. You could be based in either the Bury St Edmunds or Cambridge offices.

You'll step into a well-established client base with immediate scope to add value, supporting the 3 lead private client partners in the region as well as 2-3 other Partners based in Bury.
There are also likely to be other partners providing work on an ad-hoc basis. This role will be the key point of contact for advisory work for the client base, primarily within landed estates and farming.
This is primarily a delivery role but there will be scope to develop new business as needed. This role will also offer partner potential in the future and broader leadership opportunities with this.
Day to day duties
- You’ll act as a lead point of contact for all advisory and reporting to the private client base in the region.
- Completing advisory assignments either via the client Partner or direct with the client.
- Providing timely, high-quality tax advice in the appropriate format for the client.
- Ensuring all relevant procedures in relation to provision of that advice are adhered to.
- Attending client meetings as necessary to provide tax advice.
- Strengthening client relationships by providing the additional level of tax support.
- Strengthening professional firm relationships by bringing in other sector expertise as needed and forming business networks.

What are we looking for?
- CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
- An experienced Director with Partner ambitions.
- Experienced in inheritance tax planning and capital gains tax
- Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse complex business situations and prioritise effectively
- Our clients come from all industries, however experience within landed estates and farming would be beneficial
