Your new company

Hays Tax is working with a well‑established and highly regarded independent chartered accountancy firm to appoint a Tax Manager, with a clear and realistic pathway to Associate Tax Director for the right individual. This is a key hire within a growing advisory function and would suit a commercially minded personal tax specialist who enjoys complex, high‑value advisory work and close client interaction.

Your new role

The successful candidate will play a central role in strengthening and developing the firm's personal tax advisory offering, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders. The position offers significant autonomy and exposure to varied, technically challenging projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high‑quality personal tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base
  • Advising on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and estate planning matters
  • Supporting high net worth individuals with long‑term tax and wealth structuring strategies
  • Advising on the use of trusts and Family Investment Companies
  • Providing guidance on property portfolio incorporations
  • Advising clients on the tax implications of moving abroad, including residence and domicile considerations
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the advisory function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
