Private Client Tax Manager – London – Hybrid – Up to £85,000
A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client Tax team in London. The firm provides a full range of audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, international clients and owner-managed businesses.
The tax division has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to expand across a broad range of sectors, including property, technology, financial services and international private wealth.
The Role
This opportunity is suited to an ambitious and technically strong private client tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio while working closely with senior leadership on advisory projects.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of private clients, including HNW and UHNW individuals, trusts and family groups, covering areas such as:

The role will involve a combination of compliance management, advisory support and team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of private clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and related computations
- Advising on Capital Gains Tax reporting requirements
- Supporting advisory projects including:
- Trust and estate planning
- International tax planning
- Pre-arrival and pre-departure planning
- Pension planning
- Profit extraction strategies
- Managing WIP, billing and portfolio profitability
- Liaising with clients and internal teams on technical matters
- Assisting with business development activities and client meetings
- Contributing to technical articles and external publications
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior staff
- Assisting with ad hoc technical and operational projects

Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience within Private Client Tax gained in practice
- Broad technical knowledge across personal tax matters
- Experience managing client relationships and portfolios
- Ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-technical clients
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- ACA, CTA, CA or equivalent qualification
- Good Excel skills
- Experience with tax software packages preferred

Working Pattern: Hybrid
Salary: Up to £85,000 depending on experience
