Private Client Tax Manager
Location: London
Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per annum DOE
Working Model: Hybrid Working (3x days a week)
I’m working with an established and growing accountancy practice in London looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Manager into their expanding tax team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning client relationships and wants exposure to a broad and interesting private client portfolio, while continuing to develop their technical and advisory experience.
The Role:
- Manage a varied portfolio of private clients, acting as a key point of contact
- Oversee personal tax compliance, reviewing complex Self Assessment tax returns and associated work
- Support clients across areas including HNW individuals, property, partnerships, trusts and internationally connected individuals
- Provide advice on a range of personal tax matters alongside the core compliance workload
- Manage deadlines, workflow and commercial aspects of your portfolio
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Review work and support the development of junior members of the team
- Work closely with senior tax professionals on more complex client matters

The Ideal Candidate:

- Strong Private Client / Personal Tax experience gained within practice
- Experience managing your own portfolio of clients
- Confident preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and handling complex queries
- CTA qualified would be highly desirable, although strong relevant experience will also be considered
- Previous experience reviewing or mentoring junior staff would be beneficial
