Private Client Tax Manager

Location: Cambridge, South East

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Full-time

About the opportunity

We are working with a well-established, growing professional services and accountancy firm with a strong presence across the UK. The business supports privately owned companies, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, and family businesses with a broad range of accounting, tax, and advisory services.

Known for combining the resources and expertise of a larger practice with a strong focus on personal client relationships, the firm has an ambitious growth agenda and places significant emphasis on developing its people, embracing technology, and delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice.

As part of the continued growth of its Private Client Tax team in Cambridge, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Manager.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Private Client Tax professional to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of individuals and families, providing high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services.

You will manage client relationships, oversee complex UK personal tax work, and play an important role in supporting and developing more junior members of the team. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development and identify wider tax and advisory opportunities for your clients.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, is confident handling complex tax matters, and wants to play an active role in the continued development of a successful private client practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
