Private Client Tax Manager, International Law Firm (London / Hybrid)
Private client tax roles at law firms rarely come to market. This is one of them.
Our client is a leading international legal practice with a significant global presence. The tax team is an established group of professionals covering both advisory and compliance work across a number of international territories. They're now looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to join them in London.
The role
- You'll advise across the full range of personal tax matters, frequently with cross-border complexity, working with a genuinely international client base and alongside colleagues in other jurisdictions.
- Providing advice and ongoing support across all areas of private client tax, often with international elements.
- Preparing and reviewing UK personal tax returns, and supporting junior members of the team.
- Working alongside the global mobility team on remote working and cross-border employment matters.
- Supporting the wider tax team on advisory projects as they arise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
