Private Client Tax Manager

Location: London
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000
Sector: Private Client Tax

A great opportunity for a Private Client Tax Manager to join an established public accounting firm in London, working with a varied portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families and privately owned businesses.
This is a hands-on role with a strong mix of compliance, advisory and client management, suited to someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and getting involved in more complex tax matters.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of HNW and UHNW individuals, families, trusts and partnerships
  • Oversee personal tax compliance, including Self Assessment and complex tax returns
  • Provide advice across Income Tax, CGT, IHT and Trusts
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and support clients with their wider tax affairs
  • Take ownership of client relationships and act as a key point of contact
  • Review work prepared by junior members of the team
  • Support and develop Seniors and more junior staff
  • Work closely with Directors and Partners on complex advisory projects
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and wider Private Client work as required

What You'll Get Exposure To

The client base is varied, meaning no two weeks are exactly the same. You could be working with:

  • High-net-worth individuals
  • Entrepreneurs and business owners

  • Trusts and estates
  • Partnerships and LLPs
  • Investment and property portfolios

There is also scope to become involved in more specialist areas such as IHT planning, trusts, CGT, succession planning and wider wealth structuring.

What We're Looking For

  • ACA, CTA or equivalent tax qualification
  • Strong UK personal tax experience within a public accounting or professional services environment
  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of private clients
  • Good technical knowledge across personal tax
  • Experience with HNW/UHNW individuals, trusts or complex estates is advantageous
  • Confident dealing directly with clients
  • Comfortable reviewing work and supporting more junior team members
  • Commercial approach with the ability to identify and develop advisory opportunities
