Private Client Tax Manager

About the role
An established professional services firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing Watford team. You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and business owners, providing practical advice across personal tax, trusts, and wealth planning.
Key responsibilities
- Manage HNW and UHNW individuals, trusts, and family groups.
- Oversee personal, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
- Advise on income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
- Support wealth structuring, succession, and estate planning.
- Advise on trust taxation, property, investments, and business interests.
- Manage client relationships, deadlines, budgets, and billing.
- Review work and support junior team members.
- Identify advisory opportunities and collaborate with wider teams.
- Keep up to date with tax legislation and HMRC practice.

About you
You will have strong private client tax experience and be confident managing clients and complex work. Ideally, you will have:
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or be working towards one.
- Experience with HNW individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Strong knowledge of income tax, CGT, and IHT.
- Experience in compliance and tax planning.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience reviewing work or supporting junior colleagues.
- A commercial, client-focused approach.
