Description
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior to join our growing Private Client Tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal tax compliance and advisory work, with experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality tax services.
As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of private clients, providing personal tax compliance and supporting a range of advisory projects. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships while delivering tailored advice and practical solutions. Working with high net worth individuals, partnerships and owner-managed businesses, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider tax practice to provide an integrated and high-quality client experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day requirements of a varied Private Client portfolio, comprising clients with a range of income sources, including employment, investment and business income.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Work with owner-managed businesses, partnerships and high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage a range of Capital Gains Tax matters across the portfolio.
- Assist with and deliver ad hoc private client advisory work.
- Support the delivery of one-off compliance assignments.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions on tax matters.
- Propose fees, raise client bills, and regularly monitor WIP and recoverability.
- Liaise with colleagues across the wider firm, including audit and accounts teams, to support client needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- ATT and/or CTA qualified (or actively studying towards CTA).
- Previous experience managing a personal tax portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of Self-Assessment and tax computations.
- Experience advising on EIS, VCT and SEIS investment reliefs.
- Knowledge of UK residence and domicile rules preferred.
- Comfortable researching tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, client-focused approach.
